Southampton will allow Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi to complete their season at Celtic after the Covid-19 outbreak cast doubts on whether or not they would be allowed to stay at the club.
The duo’s loan agreements expire on 31 May but, according to journalist Alex Crook, Southampton are relaxed about the entire situation.
Crook told talkSPORT: “Neil Lennon has come out and said we really need them to stay to the end of the season whenever that may be.
“Because they are both under contract Southampton are pretty relaxed about that.
“If they have to extend their loans I think they will so that’s good news for Celtic.”
Forster has revitalised his entire career with several fantastic performances as Celtic’s number one goalkeeper while Elyounoussi has impressed in limited action, contributing seven goals and six assists in 20 matches.
