A South Korean judge has ordered compensation to be paid to two fans who didn’t get to see Cristiano Ronaldo play last summer.

Juventus went to South Korea during pre-season where they played a K-League All-Stars side, a game in which Ronaldo was due to play at least 45 minutes.

The Ballon d’Or winner did not get on however with Juve insisting that their star man had ‘muscle fatigue’ and was unable to take part.

But now Fasta, who organised the match, have been forced to pay two supporters the equivalent of €280 in compensation after they sued, citing ‘mental anguish’.

The K-League released a statement at the time of the match, saying: “The key point … is that Ronaldo did not play even for a minute, contrary to the contract guarantee that he would play for at least 45 minutes. However, Juventus’s reply did not offer any apology nor did it explain what exactly happened that day.”
