Sheyi Ojo discussed how Liverpool team-mate Ryan Kent convinced him to follow his path to Rangers on a season-long loan.
Ojo got off to a flying start by netting a debut goal in Rangers’ 4-0 win over Gibraltar outfit St Joseph’s and is now excited for what’s in store this season.
“Ryan Kent told me Rangers are amazing. He said it was the first time he had enjoyed his football in a long time,” Ojo told Football Scotland.
“I sensed that as soon as I came here, in training and in the game against Oxford. It’s all about enjoying your football, not just for me but for everyone else in the team.
“It’s an amazing set-up, with the Europa League, the domestic league and all the cup games. Everyone’s looking forward to showing what we can do as a club and as individuals.”
Though Steven Gerrard is keen on a Ryan Kent recall after a six-goal, six-assist return, Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool are adamant they want the 22-year-old in their plans this season.
