Reports from Turkish newspaper Takvim claim that Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Altay Bayındır could be on the move due to the club’s precarious financial situation.

The 22-year-old has been in sensational form since moving from Ankaragücü for a meagre €1.5m last summer and earned his first call-up to the Turkish national team in November.

Takvim believe that Premier League side Sheffield United and Dutch giants Ajax are both keen on the shot-stopper, who already has 42 Süper Lig appearances to his name.

Sheffield United have sent scouts to view the player in action on multiple occasions and have been impressed enough to continue to keep tabs on him.

The Blades could be in need of a goalkeeper next season should Dean Henderson return to Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Ajax star goalkeeper André Onana has said it’s time for him to take the next step in his career while Bruno Varela is set to return to Benfica at the conclusion of his loan.

Last season, Ajax brought in Kjell Scherpen from FC Emmen for €1.5m, while Croatian youth international Dominik Kotarski has been a regular starter with the second team and has found his way onto the bench for a number of first-team games.
