Sergio Ramos made a tipping-cap gesture to Paolo Maldini following Real Madrid’s 3-1 victory over AC Milan.

The two have shown a lot of admiration toward each other in the last few years, with this being the latest in a line of classy tributes.

Maldini, who presented the trophy in the Spanish capital on Saturday evening, named Ramos as one of the world’s best defender earlier this year.

“The best defenders in the world? Sergio Ramos is very strong but I also like Thiago Silva, he had already proved his qualities when he was at AC Milan,” Maldini told Planet Football in March.

Ramos, meanwhile, named three-time Champions League winner Maldini in his dream five-a-side team in an interview with UEFA back in 2015. Ramos also named Fernando Hierro, Claudio Caniggia, Rivaldo and Ronaldo in his star-studded line-up.
