Celtic boss Neil Lennon has admitted that Scott Sinclair could leave the club in a deadline-day deal.

According to the Sun, Sheffield United are the club most interested in bringing Sinclair in this summer, with Preston also keen on signing the £2m-rated player.

Though the winger scored 17 goals and made a whopping 55 appearances last season, Sinclair has only featured for 45 minutes in Celtic’s first five matches.

Furthermore, Sinclair was left out of Celtic’s lineup altogether for their Champions League draw in Cluj on Wednesday.

When asked why the 30-year-old didn’t travel to Romania, Lennon admitted that he could be returning to English football.

“There’s a bit of interest, but nothing concrete at the minute. That might change over the next 24 hours,” said Lennon.

After moving from Villa in 2016, Sinclair was named the Premiership Player of the Year in his first season and has won the treble in each of his three seasons at the club.
