The Saudi Arabian Football Federation have calmed fears after the team’s plane caught fire on Monday.
An engine on an airplane carrying the team to Rostov suffered a technical failure as they landed.
A video of the failure was posted online and clearly showed a wing of the plane catching fire.
Thankfully the Saudi Football Federation have confirmed the team are safe and were on their way to their hotel on Monday evening.
Saudi Arabia are in Rostov to face Uruguay in their second Group A match on Wednesday.
Having lost their opening game 5-0 to Russia, they will need to respond with a big performance against the South American side to have any chance of progressing from the group stage.
