Gonzalo Higuaín has been backed to come good for Chelsea next season by coach Maurizio Sarri.
Although the striker is only on loan at Stamford Bridge from Juventus, the Blues do have the opportunity to make the move permanent.
Despite their impending transfer ban, Sarri is both confident that the striker will remain and that he will improve.
The 31-year-old has scored just four goals since arriving but the Italian believes Luis Suárez can serve as an example.
“Will he stay at the club? In theory, yes. It is difficult to adapt to the Premier League,” Sarri said, as quoted by the Daily Star.
“I think he will be able to score a lot next season. For a striker, it is tough to get used to this league.
“I remember in Suárez’s first season at Liverpool, he only scored three goals, then 16, then 24.”
Chelsea have an option to sign Pipita permanently for €35m or extend his loan for a fee of €17m.
