2013 Campeonato Paulista final

In May 2013, Corinthians was the one who got the better of Santos.

Tite’s men won the first leg 2-1 at Pacaembu with goals from Paulinho and Paulo André. Durval scored for Santos.

On the way back, the teams drew 1-1 at Vila Belmiro, with goals from Cicero and Danilo.


2012 Copa Libertadores semi-finals

In the year Corinthians won the Copa Libertadores against Boca Juniors of Argentina, Corinthians beat their rivals 1-0 at Vila Belmiro with Emerson Sheik’s goal in the first leg.

The return game at Pacaembu ended in a 1-1 draw with goals from Danilo and Neymar.


2011 Campeonato Paulista final

In the 2011 final, it was Santos’ turn to beat Corinthians.

Led by Neymar, the Peixe drew Corinthians 0-0 in the first leg at Pacaembu and won their home match 2-1 at Vila Belmiro.

Arouca and Neymar scored while Morais made the only one of Timão to score in the confrontation.


2009 Campeonato Paulista final

In Ronaldo’s return to Brazil, Corinthians beat Santos 4-2 on aggregate as Ronaldo’s brilliant first-leg brace earned him a place back in the national team.

Mano Menezes’s side beat the opponent 3-1 in the first leg. Ronaldo’s heroics was capped off by an incredible 30-yard chip that sent Corinthians fans into utter madness.

The return match ended 1-1 tied with goals from André Santos for Corinthians and Kléber Pereira for Santos.
