San Lorenzo sign Boca Juniors right-back Gino Peruzzi | OneFootball

According to Argentinian outlet TyC Sports, fellow Superliga side San Lorenzo have signed Boca Juniors right-back Gino Peruzzi for €700,000 on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Boca will retain 20 per cent of the player’s rights.

Peruzzi made 67 appearances for Boca Juniors since arriving from then-Serie A side Catania in January 2015 for a fee of €2.75m and has earned five caps for the Argentine national team.

San Lorenzo were initially interested in Boca’s starting right-back, Leonardo Jara, but the two sides were not able to come to an agreement.

This will be San Lorenzo’s fifth signing of the January window once Peruzzi passes his medical, which is expected to take place late Wednesday night.

In this window, San Lorenzo have also signed former Newell’s Old Boys winger Héctor Fértoli as well as a trio of loan signings from Colombian outfit Atlético Nacional: goalkeeper Fernando Monetti, central midfielder Raúl Loaiza, and centre-forward Gustavo Torres.
