Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané have given Liverpool a comfortable 2-0 lead over Newcastle.
As expected, it was the home team who started the game with most of the ball – controlling possession and looking lively in attack.
The Anfield outfit had to be patient though, and finally took the lead on 40 minutes.
A pass from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain found the Egyptian, who slotted home for his 32nd goal of the season.
And fans of the Reds didn’t have to wait long for a second goal.
A swift passing move saw Roberto Firmino lay on Mané, and the Senegal forward calmly finished for the second.
