Ryan Sessegnon’s equaliser for Fulham at Cardiff on Saturday wrote the teenager’s name into the Premier League history.

With the Cottagers trailing 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium, the 18-year-old full-back found the net to restore parity and became the first player born after the year 2000 to score in England’s top flight.

The goal was the England U21 international’s first in the Premier League, and his 24th in total for Fulham.

Sessegnon was born on 18 May 2000. At 18 years and 155 days, he becomes the youngest player to score a Premier League goal since Marcus Rashford in March 2016, and the first teenager to score in the Premier League this season.
