Bayern Munich have been informed that Robert Lewandowski wants to leave the club.

Speaking exclusively to SportBild, the striker’s agent said Bayern are aware of his client’s wishes for the summer.

“Robert feels that he needs a change and a new challenge in his career. Those responsible for the running of Bayern have been informed,” Pini Zahavi said, but he wouldn’t be drawn on any possible destinations.

“Robert’s motives are not money or that he wants to leave for one club in particular, as almost every top club would like to have the best striker of the world in their side.”

Lewandowski has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for years but there is nothing yet to suggest they would have serious interest in signing him this summer.

Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned in recent weeks.

Zahavi, who orchestrated Neymar’s move to PSG last summer, was hired by Lewandowski until the end of the summer earlier this year. It was seen as a clear indication that the Pole would try to force a transfer this summer.

SportBild go on to say that Zahavi would be happy to help Bayern find a replacement, with a swap deal for Edinson Cavani mentioned.
