Rivaldo: Neymar made a mistake joining PSG

Talk about a blunt statement.

In an interview with Onda Cero, the 46-year-old Brazilian legend revealed his dissatisfaction in seeing his compatriot leave Barcelona for PSG.

“Neymar made a mistake to leave, he must realise this. I would like to see him return to Barcelona and if not to the Camp Nou, for the good of Spanish football I would want to see Real Madrid try to sign him.”

Neymar has broken the same metatarsal in his foot in both seasons at PSG, which kept him out of key Champions League matches and caused him to miss important parts of the second half of PSG’s season.

Despite this, Neymar has still been impressive in the stat column, scoring 48 goals and adding 27 assists in 53 career matches with PSG in all competitions.
