After suffering their first loss of the Premier League season against Manchester United last weekend, Leicester will face another tough test when they host Tottenham on Saturday.

Spurs themselves are coming off a Champions League trip to Olympiacos, where they blew a two-goal lead, and Ricardo Pereira believes the Foxes have the power to atone for last week’s defeat.

“We want to bounce back,” Ricardo told Leicester’s official website. “After a defeat, it’s important to start playing again.

We want to correct the loss we had and playing at home against a big club, a strong team, I think it’s a big challenge for us. We want to get back to victory.

“We know when we lose we’re not the worst team, and when we win, we’re not the best.

“It’s important to believe in our qualities and know our value and to bounce back to show what happened last week won’t happen again.

“It’s going to be a difficult game. They have a lot of quality, they will have some chances and they will have the ball.

“We have to be compact and defend well. We have to be clinical.

“We have to play too, because we have quality and we have already shown against these types of teams. And we have to be aggressive, we cannot let them play comfortably.

“It’s important to see how we are, it’s important to compete against the best teams in the Premier League, and Tottenham is one of them.

“If we want to arrive at the end in a good position, we have to play and get points in these types of games.

“If we play together, it will be easier. I think we will, and they won’t have that space and time to make the difference.”

After the Tottenham clash, Leicester will host Championship newcomers Luton Town in the third round of the EFL Cup.
