Real Madrid’s latest recruit Reinier Jesus has revealed he is hoping to emulate former Galactico Kaka after his unveiling at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The 18-year-old completed his move to Real in January for a €30m fee on a six-year contract from Flamengo.

He was presented as a Madrid player for the first time by president Florentino Perez on Tuesday.

The Brazilian spoke during the press conference about the ambition to achieve what his compatriot, Kaka, achieved in the Spanish capital during his playing career between 2009 and 2013.

“Kaka is my hero, he’s Brazilian and I’ve always watched him.

“I’m really grateful to Kaka because I’ve been able to share time with him, he told me a series of things and he was a great player.

“I like to get into the box and score. I like playing one-twos.

“I want to be a part of the history of this great club.”
