Real Sociedad make Nacho Monreal 'number one target' this summer | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have reportedly made Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal their number one target during this transfer window.

Following Álvaro Odriozola’s move from the Basque country to Real Madrid earlier this week, La Real are believed to be in the hunt for a full-back to fill the void.

And AS believe that man is Monreal, who has enjoyed something of a renaissance at the Emirates Stadium.

The 32-year-old emerged as one of the north London club’s best players last term, starting 26 times in Arsène Wenger’s last season and netting an impressive five goals.

New boss Unai Emery is thought to be keen on keeping the veteran defender and the player himself is believed to be happy with the Gunners.

The former Málaga full-back is out of contract in 12 months time though, and the Madrid-based daily is adamant that the Anoeta outfit will test Arsenal’s resolve and lodge an offer of €15m in the coming days.
