Real Madrid will try to sign Manchester City youngster Brahim Díaz in January despite being able to bring him in for free next summer.
The 19-year-old joined City’s youth team from Malaga back in 2013, but despite starring in various age groups, the versatile attacker has found his pathway to the first team blocked by the likes of Leroy Sané and Riyad Mahrez.
As such, the teenager is on the hunt for a new club having rejected several new contract offers from the hierarchy at the Etihad.
And now two sources – ESPN and El Chingurito in Spain – have insisted that Los Blancos will make a formal bid for Díaz when the window opens next month.
They both suggest that Solari’s side will make a €10m offer for the attacker, and although City value him nearer to €20m, expect a deal to be done before the deadline.
