Theo Hernández looks likely to leave Real Madrid this summer after struggling to force his way into the first team reckoning at Santiago Bernabéu.

The 20-year-old joined the European champions last summer from city rivals Atlético Madrid, and was widely seen as one of the brightest young talents on the continent.

However, the young defender struggled for game time under Zinedine Zidane – starting just 10 times in La Liga.

And according to Marca, new manager Julen Lopetegui isn’t convinced by the France Under-20 international and will allow him to leave during the window.

As yet though, there have been no formal offers for the left-back, in part, due to his high wages.

Hernández currently earns €5m per season, and the Madrid sports daily claims that Los Blancos are considering whether to loan him out for the season and pay half of his salary.
