Real Madrid have entered the race for Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembélé.
After a spectacular debut season with Dortmund, Dembélé is being chased by Barcelona as a potential Neymar replacement.
Barcelona’s interested led to the French international to miss training on Thursday. Dortmund responded by suspending the player until Monday and rejecting Barcelona’s opening bid, reportedly worth €90m.
Reports in Germany have suggested Dortmund have put a €150m price tag on Dembélé’s head but that has sparked interest from others.
Barcelona are poised to return with a €140m bid according to the Spanish media but Catalan radio station RAC-1 now expect Madrid, who appear to have accepted they won’t sign Kylian Mbappé this summer, to enter the bidding.
According to them, Real Madrid are willing to offer Dortmund a deal including players, meaning the German club would not be so concerned with replacing their star.
