Real Madrid’s long hunt for a goalkeeper goes on, after Athletic Bilbao youngster Kepa rejected their advances earlier this week.
In very much a ‘we never wanted you anyway’ kind of move, Marca are reporting that Los Blancos have shifted their attention to Manchester United’s David De Gea.
The Spanish sports daily claims that president Florentino Pérez sees the Spanish stop-stopper as their number one priority for the summer, and are willing to spend big to get him.
Marca say that Madrid are willing to offer around €90m for the 27-year-old — which would make him the most expensive goalkeeper of all time.
Thibaut Courtois is also listed as a person of interest for the Santiago Bernabéu side, but De Gea is absolutely their top target.
