Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer €170m for Lazio sensation Sergej Milinković-Savić.

The Serbia international was arguably the stand-out midfielder in Serie A last season and has been heavily rumoured to be of interest to Manchester United.

The 23-year-old does not have a release clause in his contract and the Italian side’s president Claudio Lotito has already confirmed he turned down a bid, wanting well over €100m.

According to Il Messaggero in Italy and Spanish sports daily AS, Los Blancos are prepared to offer €150m plus another €20m in performance-related bonuses.

The 23-year-old would also be guaranteed a salary worth €6m per year to begin with, rising as time wore on for five seasons.

Any move will have to wait until the European champions have a new coach however, with Guti and former Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger thought to be in contention.
