Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid are said to want Kylian Mbappé this summer.

That’s according to a report from reliable France Football journalist Thierry Marchand.

Though Eden Hazard is widely considered Real Madrid’s top target for the summer, Marchand claims they will make a move for Mbappé.

Madrid would be willing to pay a world record €280m fee for the Frenchman. That would smash the €222m record fee PSG paid to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017.

The report goes on to claim the Spanish giants have €400m to spend this summer, with a further €100m to be added through sales. The club will look to move on Gareth Bale in particular.

Marchand also suggests a deal for Mbappé would not prevent Madrid from making a move for Eden Hazard, while Zidane also admires Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

PSG will be determined to keep hold of Mbappé but their resolve would surely be tested by such an eye-watering sum.
