Real Madrid are hoping to snatch Neymar from under Barcelona’s noses by making Paris Saint-Germain an offer they can’t refuse.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Sport, who report that Madrid president Florentino Pérez is willing to offer €120m PLUS Luka Modrić for the Brazilian superstar.
Neymar, for his part, would reportedly prefer to rejoin Barça but reports elsewhere earlier this week claimed PSG are determined to not allow the 27-year-old to return to Camp Nou.
Sport say Madrid have therefore made a very tempting cash-plus-player offer to the French champions in the last few hours, and Pérez is confident it will be accepted.
But it all depends on Neymar, who will apparently be offered a lucrative five-year deal at the Bernabeu.
And as well as Modrić, Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez Haya claims Los Blancos could also try to include Keylor Navas as part of the deal.
PSG reportedly value Neymar at €180m and they perhaps couldn’t hope to receive a better offer than €120m plus one or two of the players mentioned.
Meanwhile, Barcelona still maintain an interest in their former player, but it could all depend on whether they’re able to get rid of Philippe Coutinho.
As things stand that’s looking unlikely given the Premier League transfer window is close to closing, but there is still plenty of time for clubs outside England to get their deals done.
