Real Madrid have reportedly identified Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland as a top transfer target.

Despite only joining the Bundesliga side from RB Salzburg in January, Haaland has scored 12 goals in 11 appearances.

According to Marca, Madrid will make an ‘approach’ for the 19-year-old during the next available transfer window.

It’s understood that Dortmund want to keep Haaland for at least one full season, but upon his signing, a €75m release clause was put into his contract from July 2021 onwards.

Madrid have are said to have ‘lost faith’ in Luka Jović and view the Norway international as a natural successor to Karim Benzema.

Juventus and Manchester United will also continue to monitor Haaland moving forward.
