The latest starlet reportedly on Los Blancos’ radar is Corinthians’ Léo Santos.

According to Marca, Madrid have been monitoring the 19-year-old defender’s performances since he became a regular starter for Timão following the summer departure of Fabián Balbuena.

Santos’ preferred position is in central defence but he can also play as a defensive midfielder and he has played in each of Corinthians’ last 14 matches, which include games in the Copa Libertadores.

The Brazil U20 international is under contract under 2020, and the reigning European champions will send scouts to watch him play at the South American U20 Championship in January.

Marca also claim that Madrid star Marcelo has told the club’s board to go and sign Flamengo’s Lucas Paquetá.

AC Milan have a “basic agreement” in place to bring €35m-rated Paquetá to the San Siro according to the Rossoneri’s sporting director Leonardo, but it seems Madrid may yet join the battle for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder’s signature.

In the meantime, Vinicius and Rodrygo are currently on international duty with Brazil’s U20 side, and the future Madrid team-mates combined beautifully to score a nice goal in training.
