Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to break the bank this summer and give Zinedine Zidane a mind-boggling €500m to spend on transfers.

That’s according to a story in L’Equipe which claims that the Blancos chief will sanction a complete squad overhaul with the capital club looking to bounce back after one of their worst seasons on record.

The Santiago Bernabéu outfit have gone through two coaches already this term and have since re-hired Zidane to take them back to the top table of European football.

And now the French sports paper have claimed that the president will sanction a host of big-money deals in the hope of challenging Barcelona for the Liga title and reasserting their dominance in the Champions League.

L’Equipe go on to reveal that the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard and Tanguy Ndombele are all targets come the end of the season, with no expense spared when it comes to getting the talent they want.

It’s hoped that Zidane’s star quality will attract a new level of player to the club with the likes of Gareth Bale and Raphaël Varane potentially moving on.
