Almirón joined Newcastle in January from MLS outfit Atlanta United for a Newcastle United record £21m, and it looks like it will take at least £35m to take him away according to the report.

With the current uncertainty at Newcastle as manager Rafa Benitez’s contract expires next weekend and not current plans for renewal, Almirón faces uncertain times at Newcastle.

However, all current plans at the club are currently on hold due to numerous internal issues, including a potential new owner.
