Sebastian Rudy’s mooted departure from Bayern Munich to RB Leipzig appears unlikely due to the club running into Financial Fair Play issues.
According to Kicker, the Bundesliga champions are only prepared to sell the midfielder permanently and would only consider a loan move if it included a purchase-option.
However, Leipzig cannot afford a permanent transfer as they have €20million available but are still keen to pursue a deal for Everton forward Ademola Lookman whom they loaned last season.
Leipzig’s struggles could be Schalke’s gain who are also in the running for Rudy and now have a clear path.
The former Hoffenheim midfielder may decide to resist a move and stay at the Allianz Arena to fight for his place with Renato Sanches and Juan Bernat both linked with moves.
