Edinson Cavani has virtually been frozen out of the PSG squad since the arrival of Mauro Icardi and it’s heavily rumoured that he will find a new club in January.
While David Beckham’s Inter Miami FC, Atlético Madrid, and Los Angeles Galaxy are all said to be interested in the 32-year-old, Dortmund full-back Raphaël Guerreiro believes that the Uruguay international would be a boost to his side.
“A guy with a profile like Edinson Cavani would help us,” he told 19:09 – der schwarzgelbe Talk.
Guerreiro himself was rumoured with a switch to PSG, in additon to Barcelona, but opted to sign an extension to stay with the German giants until 2023.
In a separate interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, he explained why he turned down a big move.
“The weather is certainly sunnier in Barcelona. But that’s not what counts when you choose a club,” he said.
“I fit in well here. The coach gives me a good feeling, and the fans are fantastic.”
Dortmund will host Fortuna on Saturday.
