Rangers wonder kid, Joshua McPake is being courted by the Republic of Ireland as the FAI have contacted the 17-year-old about a possible international switch.

Currently playing for Scotland’s U17, the winger has said in the past he is fully committed to playing for Scotland, however, the youngster could have a decision to make if Ireland step up their interest in him.

McPake qualifies for the Republic through his Irish grandmother.

Wanted by teams such as Liverpool, Roma, and Hoffenheim, McPake signed a new deal in August which will keep the 17-yar-old at Ibrox until 2023.

Having already made his first-team debut after coming off the bench versus St. Joseph’s in the Europa League, McPake has received high praise from Steven Gerrard.
