Raheem Sterling has provided yet more evidence of his excellent no-fucks-given sense of humour in the last couple of days.
It all began after Manchester City’s 3-0 win away at Huddersfield on Sunday, in which the England winger scored his 10th Premier League goal of the season.
“You know we can’t lose when I score a header,” wrote Sterling.
“Great job on a difficult pitch. Well done lads.”
After he was denied a penalty despite clearly being fouled in the box in the first half, the 24-year-old was the subject of boos from the Huddersfield crowd.
But when one Twitter user suggested this is what he must have meant by a “difficult pitch”, Sterling quickly clarified.
City team-mate Benjamin Mendy then tweeted his excitement about the Los Angeles Rams sealing their spot at next month’s NFL Super Bowl.
To which Sterling replied …
But again, he was quick to clarify what he meant …
Ederson would have been proud of that save.
The fun didn’t stop there either. Over the weekend, one funny person on Twitter suggested the seagull in this video moves in a similar way to Sterling’s trademark run.
And the man himself does not disagree.
Sterling is typically more of an Instagrammer than a tweeter, but it seems that could all be about to change.
