According to the Telegraph, Newcastle boss Rafa Benítez will leave the club at the end of the season if owner Mike Ashley and the board do not meet his January demands.

According to the report, Rafa “gave the club a list of targets in December, with players in each position separated into different price brackets, but Newcastle are yet to land any of them.”

The report goes on to say that Rafa has demanded the club give him his top two targets, one of which is known to be Atlanta United’s Miguel Almirón, or else he will reject any new contract offers.

The 58-year-old is reportedly at his breaking point, especially since the club profited €23m from the sale of Aleksandar Mitrović and Benítez has yet to receive any sort of transfer budget.

Newcastle will receive another €66m in television money before the window closes, however, it’s not believed that Ashley will allow Benítez to have access to any of the funds.

The club have repeatedly insisted that they will splash the cash if Benítez finds the right player.

Newcastle have been linked to loan signings for Juventus starlet Moise Kean, Iranian international left-back Milad Mohammadi, and Lyon striker Martin Terrier amongst others.
