This guy must have an incredible agent.
According to De Telegraaf, PSG have signed free-agent right-back Levi Opdam to a six-month deal, most recently of the AZ Alkmaar U-21s, also known as Jong AZ.
“We came out and Levi has signed a contract for half a year,” Opdam’s agent said on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old had his contract with AZ canceled back in October after making two Eredivisie appearances for the club.
Opdam spent the second half of last season on loan with Go Ahead Eagles who, like Jong AZ, play in the Jupiler League.
Opdam will immediately join the PSG ‘B’ squad.
Alec Georgen, the current PSG ‘B’ right-back, may be in jeopardy of losing his spot, considering he spent the last six months of last season on loan with Jong AZ.
Georgen is currently out with an ankle injury, and Opdam’s signing is seen by many as a six-month trial.
