Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Neymar will be sidelined for one month after suffering a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old limped off after just 12 minutes against Nigeria on Sunday, with scans now confirming another muscular issue.
An official statement read: “Neymar Jr had an MRI this afternoon which confirms a grade 2 lesion of the left hamstring.
“A medical evaluation will be redone in 8 days, but the current deadline of absence is predicted at four weeks.”
The former Barcelona forward has already missed four games this term, on the back of missing 48 matches in the past two seasons.
