Paris Saint-Germain have rejected Barcelona’s first official bid for Neymar but talks between the two clubs will continue this week.

Les Parisien report that Barça president Josep Bartomeu met with PSG representatives on Tuesday to start discussions over bringing the Brazilian back to Camp Nou.

It’s unclear as to what the opening offer amount to, but all we know so far is that it didn’t meet PSG’s valuation.

The French side are open to letting the 27-year-old leave this summer but only if the deal totals the €222m they paid for Neymar back in 2017.

That could either mean a flat fee from Barcelona or cash plus a player – with the latter seeming more likely at the moment.

Both Ousmane Dembélé and Philippe Coutinho have been rumoured to be potential makeweights in the move but so far there’s been no confirmation from either side.
