Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to re-open negotiations for Bayern Munich defender Jérôme Boateng.

Boateng was ready to leave Bayern last summer in search of a ‘new sporting challenge’, but stayed after being persuaded by manager Niko Kovač who has since used him sparingly.

According to well-sourced Paris United, PSG will return for the 30-year-old this summer in an attempt to bolster their defensive options.

Bayern have already secured deals for French internationals Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernández, which effectively makes Boateng fifth choice centre back beyond this season.

It’s unclear how much the Bavarians would demand, but Paris United claim that €20m is the figure being suggested at this early stage.
