Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to battle to keep star attacker Kylian Mbappé in the French capital.
Real Madrid have been repeatedly linked with the French international, with Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane speaking in glowing terms about the 20-year-old striker.
Zidane also suggested that it was Mbappé’s “dream” to play for Real.
PSG voiced their displeasure at Zidane’s comments, and are now working actively to deprive him of his number one target.
According to Le10 Sport, PSG are looking to construct a deal that would tie Mbappé down on a long-term basis.
Reports suggest the Qatar-owned club are willing to make the former Monaco man the highest-paid player in the world to ward off the advances of Real and others.
PSG are said to be resigned to losing Neymar next summer, hence their eagerness to avoid losing Mbappé in the same transfer window.
