In an attempt to avoid any interest from abroad, Kylian Mbappé is in discussion with Paris Saint-Germain about a contract renewal.

The 20-year-old arrived from Monaco in 2017 on an initial loan deal with an option to buy and is now contracted to the Parc des Princes outfit until 2023.

According to RMC Sport, discussions between the club and Mbappé over a new deal are at an early stage and there is no agreement between the parties at present.

The initial exchanges are evidence of PSG’s determination to tie their star youngster down and rule out any possibility of losing him.

Mbappé has been in incredible form since arriving in the French capital.

He has scored 57 goals and provided 28 assists in just 85 games for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
