Despite signing Antoine Griezmann, Barcelona aren’t done adding to their attack yet and remain keen on re-signing Neymar.
Talks continue to take place between the Spanish champions and Paris Saint-Germain through intermediaries.
And according to Globo Esporte, a sensational €40m offer plus Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembélé has been made by Barça.
The same story also states that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was not pleased whatsoever with that bid.
He reportedly labelled the offer as ‘ridiculous’ and has made it clear that he will not accept anything under €300m for the Brazilian.
His club paid a record fee of €222m to bring Neymar from the Camp Nou to the French capital two years ago.
That amount is more than Barça can spend this summer, thus the need to try to add value to the deal with the inclusion of players.
In addition, Neymar would also have to agree to a substantial cut in his €36m annual salary if he were to achieve his dream of a Barcelona return.
Finally, the reports also indicate that there is growing concern in the player’s entourage that a deal may no longer materialise due to the difficulties involved.
