Paris Saint-Germain are set to launch an ambitious attempt to land Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos this summer.

That’s according to French outlet Le Parisien, who report that PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has identified his fellow German Kroos as the perfect player to solve his side’s midfield issues.

In fact, former PSG midfielder Thiago Motta is reported to have recommended the Madrid man as his perfect successor when he was on the verge of hanging up his boots in May 2018.

The Ligue 1 champions signed Leandro Paredes from Zenit Saint Petersburg in January but the Argentine has underwhelmed somewhat during his first half-season in the French capital and PSG are expected to target a top level midfielder in the summer to aid their quest for Champions League success.

Whether Kroos would be interested in swapping Spain for France remains to be seen, but the 29-year-old has now been with Los Blancos for almost five years and could well be on the lookout for a new challenge.

PSG are reportedly ready to sell Julian Draxler this summer and could also let Edinson Cavani go too.

With that in mind, Le Parisien suggest the French giants could possibly also target Real Madrid duo Isco and Gareth Bale, who are both likely to leave the Bernabéu this summer.

Kroos is currently valued at approximately €80m while Isco and Bale would likely cost in the region of €60-70m each.

But PSG have the cash and all three players would undoubtedly improve their squad.
