Gianluigi Donnarumma could reportedly join his namesake Gigi Buffon at PSG this summer by replacing Alphonse Areola.

According to Sky Italia, super agent Mino Raiola represents both Areola and Donnarumma and is prepared to orchestrate a goalkeeping merry-go-round.

The current PSG man is emerging as the number one target for Roma to replace Alisson Becker, who is heading to Liverpool for a record fee of €75m.

Milan rebuffed offers for their goalkeeper last summer, but the situation has changed with Yonghong Li defaulting on his debt, allowing US hedge fund Elliott Management to repossess the club.

The Rossoneri were also excluded from Europe as a result of Financial Fair Play violations and need to balance the books.

Donnarumma is the ideal player to sell, as he came up through their youth academy and is therefore pure profit, having already signed replacement Pepe Reina as a free agent from Napoli.

A move to Ligue 1 would also allow Donnarumma to learn directly from his Italy predecessor Buffon.
