PSG confirm Neymar will be out for 10 weeks | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Neymar will be out for ten weeks after fracturing his fifth metatarsal.

The Brazilian suffered a recurrence of his season-ending injury from last season, during the Coupe de France match against Strasbourg on January 23.

“After consultation with world-renowned medical experts, the decision has been made for Neymar to receive treatment for his latest metatarsal injury,” the club explained in an official statement.

“The player has agreed to undergo such procedures and is now expected to be fit again in ten weeks.

“Paris Saint-Germain wishes to show Neymar the strongest support to overcome this injury, with the courage and determination he has always shown.”

Neymar will now miss both legs of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Manchester United, and is unlikely to return for the quarter finals should PSG progress.
