Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has refused to comment on whether he will allow Giovani Lo Celso to join Real Betis on a permanent deal.

Lo Celso signed for the Spanish side last summer on a season-long loan after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by at the Parc des Princes.

The Argentina international has since seen his career rejuvenated at Betis, starting 20 games for the Verdiblanco and having a hand in eight goals.

There has been a suggestion that the Liga outfit could make the deal permanent come May, with an offer of €25m believed to be on the table.

Al-Khelaifi though, has failed to add fuel to that fire by insisting that now is not the time to speculate on the 22-year-old’s future.

“We are very happy for him because he’s a great player and a great person,” he is quoted as saying by Le10 Sport.

“Otherwise, I never speak about the market and figures of possible transfers. The media are the ones who have the right to analyse the price of players, it’s part of your work.”
