PSG boss admits he expected Neymar to push for summer move | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel has confessed that he anticipated Neymar’s summer behaviour.

The striker appears to be actively pursuing a return to former club Barcelona, refusing to join up with the PSG squad.

Speaking after his side’s 6-1 win friendly win over Dynamo Dresden, Tuchel voiced his displeasure with the Brazilian.

That relates to the player refusing to report on time for pre-season, although he is hopeful that situation will soon be resolved.

“I’m always disappointed if a player shows up late but it is between the club and Ney,” Tuchel said, quoted by RMC Sport.

“I knew before the start of the Copa América that he wanted to leave but it is something between the club and him.

“I think Neymar should come to China with his team-mates. He’s done tests and he is ready.”

PSG play another game in Germany against Nürnberg before departing for China to continue their pre-season preparations.
