The Premier League are planning to finish the 2019/20 season behind closed doors in a period of four to six weeks starting in July, according to football.london.

A conference call involving the league, the FA and the EFL took place on Saturday in discussion with the British government to discuss a plan on when to restart football.

Professional football has been suspended since March 13 due to coronavirus outbreak.

The current suspension is set to end on April 30 but it is expected that this will be too soon for the game to resume.

However, there are suggestions the three organisations came to an agreement to complete the season over July but without fans in attendance.

This is to restrict any potential economical damage that could be caused by the 2019/20 season failing to conclude.

It is expected that this situation would then take the players straight into the 2020/21 season, although there could be a two-week break at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Hopefully we can have football back soon rather than later, but of course when it is safe for it to resume.
