Super sub Djenepo wins it for the Saints

Moussa Djenepo scored four minutes after coming on to help secure three points for Southampton against Brighton.

Brighton started the better, but saw striker Florian Andone sent off for a horrific studs up challenge on Yan Valery.

Ralph Hasenhüttl then unleashed Djenepo after half-time who quickly repaid his faith with a gorgeous strike into the top corner.

Nathan Redmond added a second in injury time to ensure the Saints’ first win of the season.

Palace steal three points to stun Old Trafford

Patrick van Aanholt’s injury-time winner stole a stunning win for Crystal Palace against Manchester United.

Despite the hosts dominating possession, it was Palace who went ahead after Jordan Ayew ghosted in to slot past David De Gea.

With United pushing for an equaliser, they finally earned a penalty after Scott McTominay was tripped by Luka Milivojević, only for Marcus Rashford to slam against the post.

Daniel James equalised with two minutes left to play, before Van Aanholt silenced the stadium with a 93rd minute strike.

Wednesday fan Vardy returns to haunt Sheffield United

Goals from Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes were enough to see Leicester claim all three points against Sheffield United.

After a fairly even start, Sheffield Wednesday fan Vardy broke through after a beautiful pass from James Maddison and finished clinically past Dean Henderson.

The Blades were level shortly after half-time through record signing Oli McBurnie, who headed brilliantly into the corner.

Substitute Barnes then netted the winner with 70 minutes played, rifling an unstoppable half-volley past Henderson.

Haller off the mark as West Ham cruise to three points

Sébastien Haller bagged a brace for West Ham as they beat Watford at Vicarage Road.

After just two minutes, Manuel Lanzini was brought down in the box and Mark Noble – exactly 15 years after his senior debut – made no mistake from 12 yards.

Watford were level soon after as Andre Gray fired past Lukasz Fabianski following excellent play from Will Hughes.

But it was Haller who proved decisive, scoring twice from close range to delight the travelling fans.
