Porto look set to be without three key players for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Liverpool.

Local media in Portugal are reporting that the Liga NOS leaders could be without centre back Ivan Marcao for the game against Jürgen Klopp’s side.

The Spaniard has been out since January 24, and is currently undergoing a fitness test to determine if he can take part in the last-16 clash.

The Dragões will definitely be without defender Felipe, who is serving a suspension, and could also start the match without top goalscorer Vincent Aboubakar.

The Cameroon international only completed a small part of Tuesday’s training session and will be fully assessed just before the game.

Portuguese journalist Luís Rocha Rodrigues, from the zerozero.pt website, told the Liverpool Echo: “All is not rosy for manager Sergio Conceicao, as he has further injury concerns regarding Aboubakar, Marcano and André André.

“Given that his defensive partner Felipe will miss the game having been sent off v Monaco in the last Champions League game, Marcano is the stand-out issue ahead of the Liverpool clash.

“If he isn’t fit then the untried Yordan Osorio will be line for the biggest game of his career.”
