With Manchester United trailing 1-0 at home Newcastle on Saturday, they needed their talisman to step up, and step up is exactly what he did.
Paul Pogba started the match at Old Trafford for the first time since injuring his hamstring in early September but for the opening 40 minutes at Old Trafford, he and his team looked a little lost.
However, it was an excellent cross from the Frenchman five minutes before half-time which sparked the Red Devils’ comeback.
Anthony Martial’s equaliser was followed by a Chris Smalling header a few minutes later and José Mourinho’s side went in 2-1 up at half-time.
And in the second half, Pogba got himself on the scoresheet when he finished off Marcus Rashford’s knock-down from close range.
Welcome back Paul, you were sorely missed.
