Then, at Borussia Dortmund, the striker whipped out a Batman mask to celebrate a goal against Schalke.

It was to mark his son’s birthday and he even had a Robin mask for strike partner Marco Reus.

And at Arsenal?

Well, nothing yet.

The 29-year-old has brought out his trademark front flip on a number of occasions but there have been no nods to superheroes. That could be about to change.
